Liturgical Abuses
There are plenty of liturgical abuses occurring, however if we can overlook the abuse of trampling on Jesus as just "acceptable collateral damage"... we most certainly will overlook or accept any other liturgical abuses. This is just the point, if we don't respect Our Eucharistic Lord, the innovations of abuses will never stop.
We will see abuses as non-abuses:
When we fail to guard ourselves with the truth of the Real Presence, the abuses will only continue.
Talking in church is fine, no respect to the Real Presence.
From genuflections, to bowing, to nodding, to virtually no reverence at all.
No dress code - modesty no longer exists.
Congratulations and applauses for human achievements. Worship becomes man-centred, less reverent to God.
Receiving Holy Communion in the hand is allowed, allowing Jesus to become acceptable collateral damage.
Liturgical dancing - walking on our Lord is bad enough, but dancing on top of our Lord as well.
And so much more...
The reality is we don't need to go any further, we are already trampling on our Lord. It's a defining, crossing the red line moment.
This sacrilege must end. We personally can end this, along with the other forms of abuses if we return to tradition. The difficulty is that many love their way of worship, more than God Himself. Those who love God more, will make the commitment.
